Woomera Proving Ground, Australia
The former cosmodrome and now the Woomera test site, also known as the Woomera exclusion zone, is the world’s largest test facility for military technology. Its area is greater than 122 thousand square kilometers.
The cosmodrome is located in southern Australia, 450 kilometers northeast of Adelaide (Adelaide, the largest city in the region). The landfill was recognized as a restricted area in 1947; however, in the territory of Woomer, there are still objects that are allowed to ordinary people.
