Cobra Island, Brazil
The official name of this place is Queimada Grande, but most of the time it is called Ilha da Cobra.
It is located on the coast of São Paulo and is known for its numerous snakes. Around the world, the most dangerous species of snake – botrops on the island – lives only here.
The poison of this reptile is so toxic that it literally melts human skin and flesh.
It is not new that, for security reasons, the Brazilian authorities have banned visits to Queimada Grande.
